Re: Victor of Roma !

Roma is the ital. vessel sunk by the Do217 der KG100

Rémi

But accident has nothing to do with that, except that among the casualties there is one or more crew that participate to sinking of the ital. vessel

Re: Victor of Roma !

Rémi,

I don't have details as to Werknummer or Kennung:

Do 217 of 7./KG 100, F Ltn. Ernst Michelis, B Uffz. Eugen Degan, Bf Uffz. Emil Völler & Bm Ofw. Franz Thomys MIA 19.September 1943 near Foggia.

Reference: Ulf Balke, KG 100, p.391

Good luck in your hunt, GRM

Hi Rémi,

Balke includes a first-hand account from one of Degen's comrades on page 267 about the circumstances of this loss.

Cheers,

Re: Victor of Roma !

Thks both, loss is not reported in usual returns, or prob. in those for 1944. in an ADIk some prisoner report the loss, so probably apart the testimony of the Balke's book nd the ADIk no other sources..

Rémi
