Abbreviation FTU

I've seen "FTU" used in connection with Luftwaffe radar jamming. Does anyone know what it stands for? It appears from the context to be an agency of some kind, so I'm guessing the F is either Führer or Funk, and that the T is possibly Telegrafie or Technisch.

I think you're on the right track. The U may stand for Unternehmen.

Thanks Climax31 (I understand German by the way).

And now that I look, the late Chris Ehrengardt asked about it here in 2008: http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/archiv...p?t-14277.html

If I may correct:

"Funkstörverfahren" is not "radio noise procedures". Lit. it could be translated into radio disturbance/ interferance procedures. What it actualy means is radio (or more generaly electronic) countermeasures (e.g. jamming) and their procedures.
