Re: 'Yellow 16' recovered today

We belive that the mickey Mouse was a Staffel Emblem of 12./JG 5 in 1943.
12./JG 5 become 15./JG 5 late in 1944 and moved to Sola and later to Lister.
(A new 12./JG 5 was formed). The emblem is not seen at all at Herdla after late 1944, so it was probaly used now by 15./JG 5. As far as we know only Lw personell from Herdla was prisoners at Boemoen (Voss). So why do we find this emblem at Boemoen. Was also 15./JG 5 pilots at this place.

Anyone know more

This is superb news. Thank you for posting all the photos of this recovery and I look forward to more updates.

Was the a/c in salty or fresh water?

'Yellow 16' flies again

For those of you having the FS2004 simulator it might be interesting to know you can again fly the FW190A2 Yellow 16. The skin based on Kjetil Åkra's drawing will fit the Wings Of Power splendid FW190 series.

Download repaint at Sim-Outhouse/ FS2004 Addons / Repaints
Filename: mk_wop_fw190a_gul_16.zip
