Ju 87 TK+HD - Last operator?

Gentlemen,

I am sure many of you know about this particular JU 87, found at the Brunnthal landing strip in 1945. It was the former V10, a C-model used for deck landing tests at Travemünde, later relegated to school duties.
I wonder though, whether it has been used by a combat unit at the war's end. It received not only flame dampers but it also featured a three-colored spinner, signs of an operational unit. Is anything known in this regard? Any flight log entries or similar?

Cheers,
Christian

Re: Ju 87 TK+HD - Last operator?

Rechlin did use white/red spinners, so nothing suspect of this have colored bands.
The a/c was the Ju 87 V10 all the time, as it was a converson and test aircraft.
Totally useless a/c - unless for practice flights at night, thus flame dampers
- or testing them.

Re: Ju 87 TK+HD - Last operator?

Hi Cristian,

some information after the publication of the book:

Junkers lists the V10 in the report "Status of work on development and C-series aircraft on March 1, 1939 as follows:" Ju 87 Tr - two test aircraft, from J.F.M scheduled flight clearing dates: V10 ready to fly April 1st, 1939 without fold-back wings."
After the carrier program was stopped in February 1943, by April 1943 almost all machines were put back into other uses.
In the February 1943 monthly report of the test center d. Lw. Travemünde, Dept. E4/5 Group E5/VI gyro devices and controls, the TK+HD (conversion of position indicator Patin) is listed as "unclear".

Fa.

Best regards
Matthias Hundt.

Re: Ju 87 TK+HD - Last operator?

I found the aircraft listed several times between 04.40 and 05.43 in the diary of a mechanic from Travemünde.
