Re: info sought on Major Gunther Specht JG11
hello ,
thanks for the info , do you have any details of area he was seen the last or went missing? A few years ago we found one of his crewmembers who was still listed as an MIA. but this was in Bastogne area. |

Re: info sought on Major Gunther Specht JG11
Hello,
Specht features heavily in Heinz Knoke's book "I Flew For The Fuhrer", and was also shot down on 23rd May 1940 in combat with 92 Squadron over Calais area - this is when he lost his eye. Cheers Bruce Lander |

Re: info sought on Major Gunther Specht JG11
Check impressive "Bodenplatte The Luftwaffe's Last Hope" by John Manhro and the late Ron Pütz.
IIRC Sieckert's fate is not related with Bodenplatte as he was lost in September 1944. ClinA-78 |

Re: info sought on Major Gunther Specht JG11
Philippe,
I think you will have no chance of finding him. I suggest you read the book on Bodenplatte mentioned above first.... Finding Specht would be a 1 in a million... Thanks, John |
