I./JG26 in Soviet Union

Hi Everybody
I'm looking for some opinion/explanation about airfields of I./JG26 during its tour in SU in first half of 1943. On sites like ww2.dk or Lexikon der Wehrmacht there are informations that in march 1943 the unit operated from Schatalowka, however no kill claim reflects that location. Claims as far as third week of april seem to point out rether still on Dno – Griwotschki. Further on claims location allow to suppose, that they where made from Ossinowka, Orel-West, Dno again, or even Krasnogwardejsk.

Re: I./JG26 in Soviet Union

Thank You very much for this post. It makes whole story of I./JG26 deployment to the Eastern Front much understendable. Thanks.
