FW 190 shot down 23 December 1944 Germany

Shot down by ground fore near Rotgen, Germany

Fate? Unit?

97 190s lost that day, so more details would be helpful to narrow it down. Here's one that might help as it lists the location. But, many others may have been near there but not listed specifically,

Fw 190A-8, 960517, Bach, Uffz. Willi, 16./JG 54blaue3 + ~ , 23-Dec-44, KIA due to Luftkampf., Lw.Kdo.West, BA-MA Signatur RL 2 III/1170, p.9; Rosipal JG 54 loss list,
bei Röttgen/Kottenforst, 100%, F

There is also a Rötgen, located South of Aachen for these day's events, but this is far away from the "Kottenforst", located near Bonn, Germany. Can you clarify ?.

I have none that mention Aachen by name. I have a number with St. Vith, Cologne, eupen, etc. These are near Aachen are they not?
