376 BG/513BS a/c on Mission 171 ?

Hello,
Am seeking details on the number of a/c that the 513BS used on Mission 171 (October 1st, 1943 ).
Serial numbers of the a/c would also be useful.

Reason for request is that I have an a/c from this Squadron only given as Number "43".

This could be the last two of a serial number or the a/c in Squadron number ?
The pilot is given as Zimmerman.

That is where it gets vague.
A/c "43" in Squadron according to the 376BG website are -
42-41031 "Daisy Mae".
42-51151.
42-72811

There was also serial number 42-72843.

Which of the above would have been on Squadron strength in October of 1943 ?
And took part in Mission 171 ?

There is further mist.
Zimerman' details given in "Findagrave" has a date for MACR( number not given) as August 1st 1943, and gives an a/c serial number, 41-11591 a/c letter "G", named "Queen Bee".
This is an a/c used by the Squadron around this time both by Zimmerman and another pilot named Taylor. But its a/c in Squadron number was "45".

I wonder if somehow there was a mix up over the MACR witnesses reporting a/c"43" and that it was "45" . And that "Findagrave" details of 1st August 1943 should be 1st October1943.

If the a/c I seek was indeed "Daisy Mae" then it ended its days in the UK in 1944.

As for 1st August 1943 Two 376 a/c are listed with MACR's, 150 & 154, a/c serials 42-40563 & 41-24294( Fold3 has report/serial number 41-28294).Both have nothing to do with Zimmerman though.

Any help is aprecated
Thanks
Alex
