Can anyone define the unit and Staffel of the following Kampfgeschwader crew, lost over Crete on 21.05.41? (all dead)

Byron,

Are you sure it was over Crete? The Volksbund.de website says that all four men are buried at Fossvogi, Iceland, with indeed date of death 21-05-1941.
Name of Dürfeld is Hans-Joachim.

Regards,

Leendert

Luft. QM's list has He111H5 3900 F8+GM of 4/KG40 lost, with cause unknown over the North Sea. Crew shown as missing but changed to dead. As the crew are buried in Iceland were they picked up dead from the North sea by a ship going to Iceland and buried there, or did they crash at or near Iceland ?

Hi.

I am quite sure this has nothing to do with Crete, as I have the following:
