Loss of the Wekusta 51 –April 5, 1944

Hello/Bonjour,

I am looking for details about the loss of a Junkers Ju 88 belonging to Wekusta 51 which happened on April 5, 1944 near Rennes airfield - France. Two members of the crew were killed in this accident.

I have this data (source : Matti) :

JU88D1, Wnr. Unknown,
crashed at Chantepie, 8 km east of Rennes
cause of crash :Absturz beim Werkstattflug infolge Motorausfall. Bruch ? %.
