11 sep 1944 - 4FG 1st Lt. Russell - crash location?

American Air Museum in Britain says: "On 11 September 1944, 1st Lt James Russell had just destroyed an Fw 190 in this aircraft when another fighter hit him in the cockpit with a 20mm shell. Near Fulda, when his aircraft started to burn, he crash-landed it and managed to get about 150 ft away from the wreckage, and then passed out. MACR 8987."

Both the serial number of the P-51 44-14158 and the MACR no. 8987 are missing on Fold3 - who can help me out? What was the crash location of Russell's P-51?
