Missing Crew 10th.April 1940

There was a wartime German request for information on the following missing crew :-

Ofw Walter Brunn
Uffz Willi Grothe
Uffz Theodor Neumann
Uffz Alfons Gusicki

The date given is 10-4-1940 area of Scapa Flow although the British notation says these dates are not always accurate, it also states a Walter Brunn was known to have been with KG 26 but had been transferred to KG 30.
Is anymore information available for this missing crew please,

Regards
Brian Bines

Re: Missing Crew 10th.April 1940

Brian,

In "Fledgeling Eagles" by Shores et al there is mention of this aircraft on page 249

"Two Ju 88s were lost, one 2./KG 30 machine (Ofw Walter Brünn) failing to return after radioing an SOS that one engine had been lost due to a flak hit, whilst a 4 Staffel machine flown by Lt Hans Hohendahl was also missing."

This is recorded in the diary entry for 10/04/40.
