First month as passed...

...any comments, suggestions, tips?

Remember this is your community!

What would you like to see in the future?

Other forum categories?

More templates?

Different layout?

Would you use more interactive elements, like the ability to upload images, of contributing articles?

An interactive new website, functioning more like a portal site?

You could help me improve this forum and future developments in general by sharing your thoughts.

Thank you.

Photo Forum

Perhaps a separate photo forum, where all topics regarding aircraft and airmen photo identification, etc. could be grouped, would be useful.

Hi Ruy,

It might be useful to be able to upload photos for id purposes, or to clarify a post... I am not suggesting a photographic free-for-all!

Photo Forum
Actually I offered this some time ago, but now I am afraid of creating too many separate forums, which will fragment the site and perhaps the community. Here I really need the community's input, how many of you would like to see a new forum for photo material. Which also brings me to the second request;

Photo Upload
I'm looking at one or two mods that enable this feature, or a different aproach through an outside portal, or an online photo album. Not sure which one will be the best option, perhaps I'll even adopt more than one approach. But this request has a very high priority, so regard it as a work in progress.

So please continue with your feedback, since your opinion really does matter and will influence the shape of things to come. Also numbers count here, the more support a request enjoys, the more I'll understand the need to implement the idea.

Good news, I've just installed an attachment modification on my test forum and it must be said that this went smoother than I originally expected. This tool allows the community to upload their files on this site, allowing easy posting of images directly from your system's harddisk.

I'll have to fine tune its settings before I dare to go online, because these interactive features always come with risk of abuse. Also I must see how this will influence data traffic etc.

Also I'll probably have to include another mod to limit the size of the picture as shown in the thread, to keep the page properties intact.

Hopefully this feature can be implemented later this week.

Ruy - I think there ia an additional MOD that allows you to set max size in height - width and file size..

Additionally ahve you been to the following website - this is something for you to consider for making this website more interactive.

hi ruy,
please make sure your system codes each image, to prevent access to your database.
