Hi,

I'm looking for information on the following crew for:
15th October 1940.

Junkers Ju88A (3138). Sortie to England (Target?). Believed crashed in the Channel off Falmouth, Cornwall. Fw. Rudi Döscher killed. 3 crewmen missing. Aircraft L1+CK lost.

Many thanks
Steve

Re: 2(K)/LG1, 15.10.1940.

Hello Steve,

I have to correct my quotation:
17 Oct 1940 Gen.Qu. loss return - 4 crew members vermisst/missing.
19 Oct 1940 Correction - Streiche/delete 4 Vermisste, setze/insert 1 Toten.
So 3 of the crew were safe and not missing.

Regards
Leo

Thank you very much Leo, I will update my information.
Do you know what position Fw. Rudi Döscher held? (FF,B,Bf,Bm,Bs)?

Kind regards
Steve

Re: 2(K)/LG1, 15.10.1940.

Hello Steve,

in the Gen.Qu. loss return in this case no functions within the crew are listed.
According to the Kracker Luftwaffe Archive Fw Döscher was the pilot.

Regards
Leo
