II./JG 6 - August 1944
Gentlemen,
could anybody supply information concerning a transfer of II./JG 6 on or around 26 August from Herpy to Fosse, some 16 kms northnortheast of Florennes ? I have an ULTRA Report stating that JG 27 reported on 26 August 1944 that one of its Gruppen had on that day transferred to Fosse; the date does not correspond with the known transfer dates of the other Gruppen subordinated to Stab/JG 27 then, so that it may well have been II./JG 6. But I'd feel better if this were known for sure. KR Jochen Prien
