KG40 HE111 Loss 21.3.42

On March 21, 1942 a HE111 H-6 "F8+ET" of III./KG40 was attacked by a RAF aircraft from No.254 Sqdn. and crashed into the sea south-west of Bull Rock Lighthouse off the coast of Co.Cork , Ireland . The four crew survived and were interned in Ireland.
According to the No.254 Squadron's O.R.B. for March 21 , 1942 , it describes the attack on the HE111 H-6 ( F8+ET ) , " the e/a jettisoned bombs with parachutes attached " . Were these mines or torpedoes the HE111 was carrying ?
I would be grateful for any help , thanks.

Popp (of 9/KG 40 by the way) was engaged on an armed recce of the Irish Coast so they would have been Sea Mines as III/KG 40 did not carrry out torpedo missions as far as I am aware
