Loss details required: Lt. Voll 10.05.1940
Hello to all,
We are now searching for the loss details of Lt. Voll who was killed in action on the 10th May 1940 near Habay-la-Neuve, Belgium. Can anyone supply us with further information so that we can construct a page of remembrance in his memory. Kind regards Melvin www.aircrewremembrancesociety.com |

No Lt. Voll was killed on 10.05.1940. I think, that you are looking for the following:
1940-05-10, 3.(H)/14, Hs 126, 1,5 km östlich Nommern/Luxemburg, Unbekannt. Bruch 100 %. F Bieber, Heinz, tot B Lt Koll, Paul, tot Koll is the only leutnant on this day, whose name has four letters and ends with ..oll. Matti |

Re: Loss details required: Lt. Voll 10.05.1940
Have never trusted location info of loss reports too much. The worst case was a crash in Finland, where report said "near Helsinki-Malmi airfield". In real life it was about 350 km from that.
Especially days like May 10, 1940 are a nightmare. I know wery well geography of Belgium/Luxemburg, but thought, that either my source (NVM) or Melvin's source can be in error. Uncommon names as Voll (4 in my databse) or Koll (6 in my database) are much easier to locate. In Melvin's German handwriting I could read either Voll or Koll. If Lt Voll will be found some day in some report, I would like to get the details for my database, too. Matti |

Hello Matti, Alain 57 and RT,
Thank you for your input regarding this particular loss, I have now attached the photo which is believed to be Lt. Voll or Koll? It would be great if we could obtain more details, I am sure he is wearing a pilots babge in the portrait photo? Best wishes as always to you all.
