Had to be discontinued when the airliner project Fw 300 (it could be produced only after the war) was the same development group given the task of designing a long-range bomber that could carry 10 tons of bombs over a distance of 4800 km. The development work undertaken by the Focke Wulf Group Technique de Chatillon, a design community of over 300 French technicians performed, which were housed in Chatillon-sur-Bagneux, a southeastern suburb of Paris. The Ta 400, the stepped out on the stage of the project was not designed as a cantilever wing monoplane with a four-piece all-metal wings. The rectangular center sections took four of six on BMW 801 D radial engine with twin 1700 hp 6x. Among the two outer engines were in the later stage of development each one Jumo 004 air-jet turbine with 2 x 890 kg thrust accommodated, making the calculated top speed increased from 535 km/h to over 720 km/hr. The elongated fuselage had two pressure chambers, one in the bow as an occupying space with spherically curved full view behind the pulpit and a bomb bay for the operation for the operation of the rear sight with two domes, turrets on the fuselage sides. The ready-made model for wind tunnel testing The rudder was twice as end caps and sat at the slightly V-shaped horizontal stabilizer. The retractable undercarriage consisted of four single main wheels, each with a mid engine nacelles, in which it could be moved forward. The nose gear was just frosting on the back and should be retractable into the fuselage. The defensive armament consisted of remote-controlled weapons stalls, which were mounted on the fuselage top and bottom, two turrets, each with 2x 20mm MG 151/20 and the turret in the tail with 4 x 20mm MG 151/20. The crew consisted of nine men. Focke Wulf Ta 400 - Long range bomber - Summary http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZS0TNP4O PS: The English language is not my native language |
