Re: 261 Sqn Pilots
Chris,
Malta: The Hurricane Years has a Sgt Alexander Livingston (no e) as going through 261 Sqn, then 185 Sqn, and finally 249 Sqn, being KIA with that squadron on June 18, 1941. No index entry for Adams. Enjoy! Frank.

Re: 261 Sqn Pilots
Hi Chris,
I have some items relating to Charles Derek Whittingham who was a flight commander in 261 squadron from early 1941 until he took command in May 41. There is no mention of an Adams in his notes. Livingstone is mentioned in several 261 squadron log books as either Livingstone or Livingston. I have looked for the Squadrons ORB for years to no avail. Gerry |

Re: 261 Sqn Pilots
Chris,
Just a thought. Could your Adam be a corruption of Pilot Officer McAdam. He certainly flew with 261. His full name was Allan Gilchrist McAdam. Regards Gerry Last edited by gedburke3; 22nd June 2017 at 14:53. Reason: Add name details |
