Re: RAF and RAAF ORBs available on the Web (new version)

(Please delete this post if this is not appropriate to this thread or if it appears to be a Self-Advertisement)

I have recently uploaded the Nominal Rolls of Indian Air Force Units in the SEcond World War - these have been built using the ORBs from NA, Logbooks, published books etc. The rolls of some units (1,3,4,8,9,10 Squadrons) have a significant number of RAF, RAAF, RNZAF, SAAF personnel that may be of use to many. (Only Squadron listings contain non-Indian personnel, others do not)

The rolls consist of approx 2100 records, and gives Dates of Posting and Location..

They are accessible from this link

Old RAF records has now following squadrons added: 25, 32, 65, 85, 92 and 111.

I have been in contact with Robin and he has ORBs from many other Battle of Britain squadrons which will be added to the site later.

Peter

Yes, there are some errors, but overall an excellent move by the folks at Kew.

Many thanks for the heads-up, supremely helpful!

All the best

Re: RAF and RAAF ORBs available on the Web (new version)

Hi guys! Very nice thread! I am searching for ORB's of the following RAF Squadrons:

30, 33, 37, 80, 84 ,112, 211, 815

during the first months of 1941 (Jan - Apr). The reason is that I have started a survey regarding to the airfield of Paramythia (my hometown) in Northwestern Greece. Unfortunately, to purchase these documents from The National Archives is a rather expensive procedure and for me it is also difficult to travel to Kew and get what i want... So if anyone has got something on these, I appreciate it a lot! Thank you very much for your time and I wish everyone A Happy New Year!

Hi Mimithem

Have you seen AIR WAR over YUGOSAVIA, GREECE & CRETE? It's available in Greek. I bit out of date but a help.

Cheers
