Aircraft Wreck yard- Comiso A/f
Interesting photo of a airplane wreckyard with various Allied A/C. The location is said to be Catania A/F in Sicily and from the types of aircraft, the date should be late 1943. Visible is a P-40 with 450 Sq markings, with what appears to be a Ventura behind it. Also, at the right, part of a fuselage of a Beaufighter.
Can anyone identify the long fuselage with code letter "H" and RAF night bomber markings? I thought Whitley but I'm not sure. Last edited by kaki3152; 11th February 2018 at 14:46. |

Re: Aircraft Wreck yard- Comiso A/f
The seller stated that this photo was taken at Catania, not Comiso.
