Erich Frobose 5/JG5: Officer?
Hello
After a victory against a Pe-2 ?(121 AP) the 11/09/42,he was shot down,his body discovered only the 8/8/43. He was appointed posthum Leutnant. But I am not found trace of it in "luftwaffe officer career". source:Mombeek Someone can confirm it or not ? michel best regards |

Hello Ross, according to JFV Vol. 9/III page 437 on 11 September 1942 Fw Froböse flew the Erla-built Bf 109 F-4 WNr. 8778, black 21. The WNr. 6776 was a WNF-built Bf 109 F-2 of 2./JG 54. Known is a take off-accident on 1 August 1941 near the Lake Samra, damaged 60%. Source: JFV Vol. 6/II page 207. Regards Leo |
