VVS RKKA over Poland IX - X 1939?

VVS RKKA over Poland IX-X 1939
Hi
I wonder if there are new text edited in Russian concerning the use of Soviet aviation (VVS RKKA or other branches like GVF/Aeroflot or VVS VMF, or VVS NKVD) in air war over Poland IX-X 1939?

I know, that there were edited in 1999 (by V. Kotielnikov) and in 2000-2001 by A. Stepanow first 2 texts in Russian aviation-historical magazines about Soviet use of Red air power over Poland. Both were also edited in Poland (1999 and in 2006 respectivly).

Maybe after such long time something new had beed edited about this very small air war?
Soviet had used (rather focused) the air power of about 3.300 combat planes to support this agression (17 IX - 14 X 1939). Of course much smaller forces were in fact used during combat use over Poland in this period (about "1000" planes at all).

Regards,
Mirek Wawrzyński from Poland

PS
In Poland I had edited 2 next texts about this small air war (in 2003 and in 2005 too).

Re: VVS RKKA over Poland IX - X 1939?

The chances are always, :-)
And are quite simpe to be obtained (?), I think so

The information which you are looking for are in my text eduted in Poland and editor are selling the magazines, aslo via internet so my Polish articles are following:

„Szczury” nad Kresami. Myśliwce I-16 podczas sowieckiej agresji na Polskę IX-X 1939 r., (Ratas over Easter Poland, I-16 during soviet agression on Poland), pp. 18-24, (18 b&w photos), [in:] Militaria XX wieku 5(8)/2005,

Second in
1) Lotnictwo sowieckie w wojnie nad Polską wrzesień 1939 roku, cz. II, p. 6 (Soviat Aviation during war against Poland September 1939, vol. II), [in:] Militaria i Fakty 5-6/2003.
2) Lotnictwo sowieckie w wojnie nad Polską wrzesień 1939 roku cz. I, p. 5, [w:] Militaria i Fakty 4/2003.

You may order the first or the second magazines (more information about Soviet OdB are in the second text (first part). Your knowledge should be satisfied (?). I hope so.

All the best,
Mirek Wawrzyński

PS
And last but not least. It is possible that in 2008, the book about this small air war will be edited too, in Poland, of course.

Re: VVS RKKA over Poland IX - X 1939?

Sorry I have no private web side. You may find the editor both publication via Google (I hope so), copy and past the name of the magazines, and you will get the contact to the editor/publisher.

First is: KAGERO Lublin - "Ratas over Poland"
second is
Ajaks Warszawa - second "Soviet over Poland"

Regards

I do not think so, it is too local/small subject, that mostly Polish or Russian are interested in it (even rather Polish). Other nation are focused on own avaition history or more pupuler subject like "Me 109" or "P-51 Mustang" etc. So I am rather sceptical to make any eforts to preparing any kind of English version directed to English readers.

PS
Anyway of course maybe soon or later (second option is better) such a book will be edited in English (see "White Eagle" by Hikkoki, a few years ago). It is possible, why not, if editor wants to make some risk and invest into such "strange" subject (this is not any next "Harry Potter" book).
