Crash locations 166 Sqn Wellington HF595 and 466 Sqn Wellington HF569, 3/4 July 1943?

Dear all,

I am looking for details about the exact crash locations of 166 Sqn Wellington HF595 and 466 Sqn Wellington HF569, both lost on the 3/4 July 1943 Cologne raid. Both Wellington crews were first buried at Brustem/St. Trond. There is still uncertainty on where these two Wimpeys crashed. Perhaps the Personnel File of F/Sgt. W.H. Pym RCAF, RG in HF595 provides a clue?

Cheers and thanks, for any details/pointers,

Theo

There is nothing in Pym's file apart from a good photo of him and the usual service records

Yes that's right Chris -Richard Koval told me the same yesterday, strange though that nothing in the Pym personnel file mentions a crash location.

Cheers, Theo

Hi Theo,

A copy of the Tagesmeldung has been mailed to you. Perhaps this can help.

Best regards
