Hallo,
I have problems in attributing the unit to which this aircraft (WNr. 670926) belongs; can someone help me, please?
many thanks

Yours is a rare bird, Piero:

it is a Fw 190 F-3, so belonging to a IV./SG as the wavy horizontal Gruppe bar indicates. The other pics uploaded on model forum.cz do show some of the Fw 190's found at Berlin Tempelhof at war's end: http://modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f...1020&start=540

Your plane might have thus been found there. As for the unit, one of the Eastern Front SG's; it does not sport though the Luftflotte 4 yellow engine cowling band.

Cheers
Marc

It was pictured at Linz-Hörsching or simply Hörsching as you prefer

I m not able to completely rule-out IV./SG151 but my bet would be II./EKG(J)

FW 190F-3 W.Nr. 670926 was reported with a 40% damage while in service with I./S.G.102 on 27. May 1944. Unfortunately I do not have any further details.

Makes me wonder if we do not have a JG031 D-9 here.

Re: Fw190, WNr.670926, Black 6+~, which unit?

I can confirm Linz Hörsching (many of the German planes found were marked with a red cross on the rudder (see e.g. a color photo of the tail of a Bf 109 found at Linz Hörsching in my book 'Captured Eagles'). I assume the captors marked those that could be scrapped.

Below is a better scan of that photo. Does anybody have an idea what the color of the rudder was? It was not white. Possibly RLM 76 or a light grey? I don't think it was yellow.

Could be a very light RLM 76 like on the cowling ring here:

This wave is a characteristic of EJG 1

Unfortunately the bit of the cowling that would definitively confirm this is missing ...
