Suggestions for FW-190 reference book?

Hi folks. I'm a "newbie" in this forum so please be gentle if I've put this thread in the wrong place.

I'm building a radio-controlled model of a FW-190 and am looking for a reference that would help me with exterior lights (of all things!) i.e. landing light(s), formation lights etc. I am able to use the internet to find any number of sites that show squadron markings/insignia, pilot information blah blah blah. But I can't find any information about the exterior lights.

Thanks.

Try to download some books in about the Fw 190 from the web, and look on the walk arounds in the web too.
The Valiant book of the Fw 190 has three pics of the lights in each of the tip on the wings and one white on the tail.

That will mean that the authors don't get paid for the work they did. Are you suggesting that is a good idea?

I suggest you go to a good site with a forum, and that includes helpful tips about customizing certain types of aircraft. I suggest http://www.finescale.com/

And/or get a good book on modelling the aircraft type:

Squadron/Signal publications have a number of books on the Fw 190 that would be good to use.

Hi Ken

A nice reference that includes photographs of the landing lights that you are interested is Aero Detail 6 Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A/F by Nohara and Shiwaku. I hope this helps.

Horrido!

Re: Suggestions for FW-190 reference book?

Sorry Nick, I bought the Valiant books I mean, I have the paper books and of course others, but I can´t buy all the books that I need.
Some are paper books and others are free downloaded.
I guess that many people do that, they support the authors buying the books while they can do that. But if don´t....

Not specified about language but here you are great one:

http://www.aero-journal.com/hors-serie.php

If you need source of images to see lights and so on, maybe better something called walkaround, maybe like this one:

http://www.primeportal.net/hangar/la...0d_yellow_ten/

There is also free e book available on Internet, I mean e books created as free files, not scanned paper books (this is violation) but I would not be able to place any link as well this forum support only printed publications.

I hope this is of any help.
