440. A few weeks ago, Ed West was kind enough to post this photo from eBay on the Captured German planes thread on this forum.

441. This enlarged cropping shows that an identifying numeral, an underlined "17", has been written by hand on the rear fuselage of this Me 262 directly under the rear fairing of the canopy. Also there is a hole in the metal skin directly to the left of, and above the numeral.

442. This photo was posted on eBay a number of years ago. The placing of the underlined "11" suggests that the same location is a possibility.

443. This photo purports to show the backs of the above picture. Was there a Messerschmitt assembly facility for Me 262s near Weiden, Germany?
