Combat Report USAAF 414 NFS, 1st Lt. Robert P. Lutz

Gentlemen,

the story has been discussed here a while back and it is about the loss of Mosquito NT187 of No. 305 Sqn. RAF (Crew: Everson/Rudd).

I'd like to see the actual combat report of 1st Lt. Robert P. Lutz, 414 NFS USAAF for the night of April 8/9, 1945 where he has claimed a Ju 188.

Any idea where to look or anyone here who got a copy?

Best regards,
Andreas

The only documentation I am aware of is the Operations Report, OpRep 9B: A0800/1495. This is frame 1495 on microfilm A0800 prepared by the AFHRA at Maxwell AFB. The confirmation was 9TAC51, 9th Tactical Air Command Victory Credit Board Report 51, also available on microfilm from Maxwell. There might be a copy of the OpRep in RG 18 at NARA II, but I haven't looked for it there. 414's OpReps from its time in the Mediterranean are there, but I didn't seem to find any ETO OpReps when the material was at Suitland.

Enjoy!

Frank.
