Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Yes, former can be
280237 Ju 188 (F-1) 8H+DH 1.(F)/33 (Luftflotte 3) Found at "Les Chanoines Airdrome" in 1944 - or be same as 290187 8H+DH reported at "Les Chanoines Airdrome" Both were reportedly burned out but one is confirmed AFAIK and photo of tail of 8H+DH appears have 87 as last two, and overpainted Stkz seems match 290187 (REF Remi photo) latter can be 713632 Ju 88 G-1 4R+GH I/NJG 2 (France) Found dumped at Dijon Airfield, France, in autumn 1944 Last edited by edNorth; 18th September 2017 at 19:43. I just checked WOTBC 3 and missed the print you were mentioning... Whilst still in WOTBC 3, the two 109's published as "Weisse 28" are actually two different machines. - The one above is an Erla built Bf 109 G-14, found at Köthen. unit is unknown. - The one below is an WNF built Bf 109 G-14, both unit and ,location unknown. Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
My apologies Marc. Typo here it should be WOTBC Number Four. Thanks as well for the 109 clarification.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

remains of old dispersals at Istres are visible on Google maps St Martin de Crau possibly ... "Les Chanoines Airdrome" is listed separately (below Istres/Le Patis and Istres/Le Teube) in MAAF Technical Report and RAF Captured Aircraft List No. 259 (but number is missing from my copy) Ju 188 5243 was Ju 188 D-2 150042 8H+EH (5243 was fuselage number) (skirts ... clothing here ... https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chanoine Last edited by edNorth; 18th September 2017 at 21:55. |

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Saint-Martin-de-Crau definitely.
I used a number of sources for that appendix, primarily MAAF Intelligence Section Files 1944–45, National Archives AIR51/281 (which is on microfilm only). |
