P-51 Mustang & A-36 Apache

Good evening,

are the 101 A-36 kills included or excluded in the P-51 total score of 5954 kills ?

Cheers,

Michael

Yes - but the ~5900+ VC's depending on source is for AAF. The Commonwealth VC's for all types according to Olynyk and Shores collaboration is in order of 330+ (IIRC re: Dr. Olynyk)

Re: P-51 Mustang & A-36 Apache

Hello Drondog,

thanks for your answer.
Is it possible to find out how many A-36 kills were scored in the ETO, MTO, PTO, CBI, respectively ?

Kind regards,

Michael

In the file compiled by Robert Allen, I have 67 victories for the MTO and 2 for the CBI but his file is maybe not up to date (his total Mustang kills is 5944). I think Victory Roll by William Wolf had such data too, but I am not sure it is up to date either.

Hello Alfred,

thanks for your answer.
And I suppose the A-36 wasn't used in the ETO and the PTO ?

Kind regards,

Michael

Re: P-51 Mustang & A-36 Apache

Hello Alfred,

thanks for that interesting info.
Can you give me a breakdown of the total Mustang kills by ETO/MTO/PTO/CBI from your file ?

Have a nice Friday,

Michael

There's the breakdown for P-400/P-39 and F4F/FM-2 too if it's of interest.
