Yukiyoshi Wakamatsu

Not trying to start anything, but how many of Yukiyoshi Wakamatsu's 18 victories can be confirmed/verified?

Thanks,
James

Re: Yukiyoshi Wakamatsu

Good afternoon James,

very interesting issue.
I think Wakamatsu scored 13 Ki-44 kills and 7 Ki-84 kills which renders him the top ace of the former and one of the best aces on the latter.
Unfortunately, I do not know how many of his kills can be verified.
All of his kills were against fighters with at least 9 P-51 kills. The exact number would be very intriguing to know because Wilhelm Steinmann, the top Mustang killer of the German Luftwaffe, has only 12 P-51 kills.

Kind regards,

Michael
