Sgt/Plt Off Bennett & Sgt Wright 110 sqn

Further to my earlier post about an attack on Mory on 27 Oct 40, it is possible that the above two pilots were now involved so does anyone have any idea of their initials or Christian names? Bennett possibly 44769 Harold Vincent Bennett

Re: Sgt/Plt Off Bennett & Sgt Wright 110 sqn

Chris,

Best I can come up with on P/O Bennett, is:

30/11/1940
OADF
Blenheim IV T2114 (ex-110 Sqn)
Ferry Flight.

Ran short of fuel, crash-landed in Ebro Estuary, Spain

P/O G Bennett
Sgt S M Cashman
Sgt E Hannah

All interned, released later.

See: The Bristol Blenheim/Warner/Crecy, 2008 (2nd.ed.)/p.425 & AIR 81/4433 - http://discovery.nationalarchives.go...ls/r/C16688531

Others should be able to add the details (AM 78 etc).

Col.
