Ju88 Stab-Staffeln in StG2 and StG77

Hello!

On March-May 1943 StG2 and StG77 had a Ju88 Stab-Staffel each. What is a reason to add to Ju87 units such alien type of bomber?
What were their tasks: recce for Ju87s or some special strike missions?

Best regards,
Andrey

During Poland, BofF, BofB and Balkans, they had Do 17s for pre and post attack recce, ASR and transportation. As the Do 17 became obsolete, Bf 110s and Ju 88s were then used
