Battle Trainer P6630

Can anybody add more details to this aircraft please : 24 June 1941 Battle Trainer P6630 , crashed Grange Farm , Hockerton , Notts. The pilot turned too tightly during a practiced forced landing and stalled , crew fate unknown but no fatalities recorded.

Thanks , do you know if they had moved to RAF Newton by then ?

No

According to Air Britain's Flying Training and Support Units since 1912 the unit did not move officially until 15 July 1941.

The books is also at odds with being called "Service". Many of these FTS had Service in their name, but oddly enough not this one...
Any clue Col?

Yes , the reason I asked was 103 Sqn was still flying bomber missions from RAF Newton till July 41. In fact they lost a Wellington on Ops the following day. 150 Sqn lost another Wellington from RAF Newton the day after that as well.

It's out the AIR 81/7119 file at the National Archives , they sent me a copy runs to 8 pages all saying the same really , I just took the clearest most concise page. Looks like a telegram.
