Emergency Rescue boat squadron USAAF P.I. 1945

Hello to all
On 1 June 1945 Mexican Air Force Pilot SubTte.P.A. Fausto Vega Santander of the 201st Mexican Fighter Squadron of the Mexican Expeditionary Air Force crashed into the sea in Republic P-47D close to Tabones o Capones during a dive bombing training misión.
the leader of the flight Tte. P.A. Jose Espinosa Fuentes contacted the fighter control station WEWAK (code name or Location?) and reported the crash at about 2 sw of Tabones island Lat.120 63 Long.14 49. A NA P-51D mustang flew over the area and was told a crash boat was being sent to try to find the pilot.
Does anybody have information were I can find out the unit involved o any leads that would be appreciated.
Reportedly the boat did not find the Mexican pilot becoming the first casualty for the 201st .

Cheers
Santiago

https://uscrashboats.org/cpage.php?pt=19

This site shows at least three possible US boat squadrons.
There were also RAF units.

There is a description of the event here:

If you use Google Chrome you also get the option of a translated version.

Tablones Islands are just a couple of big rocks off the Philippines. They were used for bombing and naval gunnery practice for years.

The closest crash boats may have been based in Subic Bay (14th ERBS) although there is no mention of a June 1 rescue effort on this site: http://scottdavis61.com/14th.htm
