U410, sunked by 15TH AF

Can someone help me with this. I want to know what Bomb Wing/ bombardement group that did the attack on 11 March 1944 at the Missiessy Docks in Toulon, France.
All I have found by now, is that it was done by the 15th AF during a bomb raid.

Does anyone know were I can find information on what planes that participated in this raid?

Re: U410, sunked by 15TH AF

You can start here: http://paul.rutgers.edu/~mcgrew/wwii...ml/Mar.44.html
which states that
March 11, 1944

"STRATEGIC OPERATIONS (Fifteenth Air Force): About 100 B-24s, escorted by
30+ P-38s, bomb the harbor at Toulon, France. "

Then you can go here: http://www.15thaf.org/
and work your way though the bomb groups by wing.

Since the raid consisted of B-24s, that would eliminate the 5th BW (all B-17s). The 49th BW did not start missions until April, 1944. (but some of the groups may have been in action earlier). Most of the BGs on the site have missions lists which you can check. You may need to check them all. Note also that some of the bomb groups have their own websites.

I suspect it was some or all groups in the 47th BW, (but there may have been other groups involved). You can have the fun of finding out. I believe the U-380 was also sunk on the raid.
