topic 1008; colourpictures

Could that be Stirling N3705, emergency landed near castle Loevestijn on 15/16-08-1942, and flown to Gilze-Rijen?

Re: eBay: Allied intrest

It was difficult for me to get used to the idea, but something is worth whatever people are willing to pay. I was talking with a dealer in science-fiction illustrations. He told me $500 was a very reasonable price for a certain piece. And that may be true for people with $500 to spend. But not me.

Better expensive then none at all. Rareaty comes with a price. A hefty one at that but still. Not many react to what Ed and I post here. Shame that a high price will get a reaction. Oh well..

Re: eBay: Allied intrest

Yes it is Belgian

It is either a Fairey Fox (two-seater) or Firefly (single-seater)
The Fox (O-69) was reportedly destroyed by bombing
The Firefly (Y-69) was reportedly flown to France and captured, so it seems to be this one...

Cheers
Stig
