Ladislav Valousek ? ? ?

Hello.

I am looking for some infos about a czech pilot Ladislav Valousek?

I would like to know also if he is still alive ? And his last Rank: Col or Gal (ret) of Czech AF ?

Ladislav Valousek died on May 24, 1996 with his last rank in Czech Army being Col (Ret.)

Many,

I have no details concerning his activities during 1939/1940 in France. He seems to have been with French AF but had not been allocated to any operational unit prior France capitulation. He then joined RAF (310 Sqn) and in 1944 wento to fight with 1st Czechoslovak Fighter Regiment in Russia. Quite a chequered career throughout which he, however, managed to claim just one ground victory.

Hi,
I thought you might be interested to know that Valousek escaped from Czechoslovakia by train in company with Bohumil Netopil who later went on to join 19 Squadron RAF. Netopil was shot down and captured in March '42. He survived the war.
