Re: fw 58 with weapons

In the first photo, it looks as if the two points are connectors for some kind of device, possibly radar.

D3 = Störkampfgruppe Lufflotte 6 (later NSG 2). Painting the unit code in white letters was something that was carried over to their Ju 87s later in the war. I published a couple of photos of Störkampfgruppe Fw 58s in my book "Ghost Bombers".

For a Störkampfgruppe Luftflotte 6 nose-armed FW58, see Luftwaffe im Focus 2008/14.

Re: fw 58 with weapons

Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but does anyone perhaps have the above photos saved?

I have been searching everywhere for photos of the armed Fw 58s of Störkampfgruppe Lfl. 6 and 12./ZG1. There should exist shots of 2N+HW, 2N+IW and D3+EL, but google has not turned up anything, and the only on of my references including any ‚Ghostbombers’, does not feature the above.

Apparently there are some pics in Luftwaffe im Focus no.14, but sadly it is long sold out, and with it went probably any chance to see those photos.

Many thanks for any help.
David
