260 Squadron RAF: June 1943-May 1945

Any air combat claims for this unit in the time frame indicated?

Cheers,

Bruce

Hi Bruce

If you are still on the same project then I think I am correct in saying there were no Aussies on 260Sqn after May 1944? My stuff is not easy to check at the moment!

Steve

Hi Steve,

There were several Aussies in 260 Sqn in 1944-45. I've identified six so far, and some of those names came from you!!

But no claims for 260 post Tunisian campaign?

Re: 260 Squadron RAF: June 1943-May 1945

If I remember rightly "Some of our victories" by Lionel J Sheppard is a good account of 260 Squadron late in the war but apart from occasional ground victories I don't think he indicates any air kills.

cheers

Keith

Thanks Keith. That pretty much clears it up for me.

Cheers,
