A FW 190 shot down by a La 5

I would appreciate help in the following matter:
During the day of 18.10 or possibly 17.10, 1944, Soviet Flight Officer Boris Nikolaevic Chubokov shot down a FW 190. He belonged to the 805 IAP, flying a La 5 at that time, escorting Il 2’s. The region, where this happened, probably was Krasnaja Jaruga-Brjansk-Zjabrovka-Minsk-Lida-Kaunas, as written down in his log book.

Any additional information would be great – most of all of course regarding this shot down FW 190!

Cheers
Hans

Re: A FW 190 shot down by a La 5

Hans, If it was in the area of Kaunas it could be II & III/ Schlachtgeschwader 3, III/SG4, I and II/JG54. I believe they were the only units still flying FW-190's in that area.
Hope this helps,
Michael

If I have red carefully, the area in question is Area of Kaunas. This pilot made on October 13 1944 transfer flight to Kaunas and on October 22 1944 flew an other transfer mission from Kaunas to Lunica (?).

Thanks for helping!
On 22.10 he made a transfer Kaunas-Lukshcha (or Luksha), so I guess he was in the area Kaunas from 4.10 till 22.10.44.
Cheers

Re: A FW 190 shot down by a La 5

A couple of years back, actually 13(time flies!) I posted this request as seen above, and as I haven't found a full answer yet - and am still curious - I'll try again!

Perhaps it helps to show how Boris Chubokov put it down in his log book in oktober 1944(see attachments).

I would also very much welcome any more information regarding this russian flight officer.

Thanks

Hans K
