Demyansk and Kholm

I am researching the units that operated in the Demyansk airlift and would be grateful for any information that could be supplied.

You can see the current results on my site, on the Demyansk and Kholm page.

I am looking for information relating to operations and losses for the following units:-

IV./ KGzbV 1 based at Ostrov.

KGrzbV 600 based at Korov’ye-Selo.

KGrzbV 700 based at Pleskau-West.

KGrzbV 800 based at Korov’ye-Selo.

KGrzbV 900 operating from Pleskau-West.

KGrzbV 500 operating from Pleskau-West.

KGrzbV (Posen) based at Ostrov-Sud

KGrzbV (Oels) based at Pleskau-Sud.

II./ KGzbV 1 based at Ostrov.

KGrzbV 105 based at Pleskau-Sud.

KGrzbV 4 based at Riga.

KGrzbV 5 based at Riga.

KGrzbV 6

KGrzbV 7

KGrzbV 8 based at Daugavpils.

Andy, congratulations to a very interesting website!


Maybe you would find Chapter 9 ("The Demyansk and Kholm Airlift Operations") on pages 85 - 100 in "Black Cross/Red Star", Volume 2 a valuable source.
