Twelve O'Clock High
A hardcover edition of "Twelve O'Clock High" (the book, not the website!), signed by both authors Beirne Lay, Jr., and Sy Bartlett, was auctioned on eBay this week for over $600, in case anyone is keeping tabs. I thought $95 was a pretty good bid, but I'll have to raise my sight next time.

...and I have to be content with a mass published upteenth print paperback.

Re: Twelve O'Clock High
I don't even have that. The paperback copies go for $30+ on amazon, and sometimes higher on eBay. Used to be that paperbacks were a couple bucks, no matter how popular the first editions were - I guess scarcity makes the softcover versions valuable (if in decent shape).
