Hello to all

I am looking for information on the belly landing of the 1st Lt Dunn Donald A.(RTD)O-757966 479th FG 436th FS the 14th October 1944 .
On which airplane ? maybe the crash place ?

Was the belly landing behind enemy lines? If so, there should be an MACR. Join for free www.fold3.com and do a search.

Here are two accidents for a Donald A. Dunn and a Donald P. Dunn. One accident in training and the other in England (09/09/44). Maybe the middle initial is a typo and it's the same guy? It's the same Fighter Group at least.

Just have it as a belly-landing South of Charleroi in 9B-K. As per most 479th data, serial numbers are not given.

It’s well 1st Lt Dunn Donald A. O-757966 who already suffered a problem the 9/9/44

I wonder if he had made that belly landing in the vicinity of Saint-Hubert (15Mi W of Bastogne)
50Mi SE of Charleroi , the code letter may be a very good information .
