Don Blakeslee 121 Squadron

Did Don Balkeslee ever serve in 121 Squadron? It is often written that he did. I know he commanded 335th FS/4th FG late in 1942 but I assume he left 401 Squadron to join 133 Squadron in June 1942.

regards

Keith

I would say you are correct. He is not listed in the small booklet of 121 Sq by Phil Listemann and looking in the Eagle Squadrons by Vern Haugland he is mentioned the first time as a Flight Commander in 133 Sq coming directly from 401 Sq.

Cheers
Stig

No trace of him in the ORB for 121 Squadron.
