Best Sunderland books
What is the best Sunderland book? Seems that there are no really good technical books on it...

I have that already.:-)
In case of not really tech books, what book might have the most crew accounts? There seems to be Sunderland monographs by Ken Delve (Crowood), Chaz Bowyer and Andrew Hendrie.

Re: Best Sunderland books
As far as I was aware John Evans is the Sunderland expert and has published a few books on the topic - http://www.paterchurch-publications.co.uk/. I can't speak for the contents as it's not a field of personal interest.

For crew accounts I would highly recommend Chaz Bowyers book. Contains excellent accounts of specific areas, accompanied by a detailed collection of photo's. Chapters are: Introduction Pedigree First Impressions Skippers View On The Panel Novice To Captain Mods And Modes The Daily Round Libyan Episode One Of Our Aircraft Is Missing U-Boat Kill Greater Love Has No Man Ditched Stachelschweim Mercy Angel Tropical Troubles Peace And Goodwill Swangsong Finale

Re: Best Sunderland books
A couple of crew account books:
Ivan Southall (RAAF Sunderland pilot & post-war author of kid's books) - Fly West Norman Ashworth - The Anzac Squadron - History of RAAF 461 Sqn I have both on my shelves. Anzac Sqn is particularly memorable in the coverage of operations. The Southall book - I recall liking it - but haven't re-read it in the last 10 years, so can't recall much of it. ...geoff
