Photos 157th Aero Squadron
Hello,
Currently on ebay are a large number of photos from pilot Sgt Alexander Wilson, of the 157th Aero Squadron also including non aircraft subjects. Representative of many is a photo of Salmson 2 A2 No.3372 of the 99th Aero Squadron https://www.ebay.com/itm/176550289161 The seller has many more photos, both of american and Entente aircraft as well as one or two captured aircraft https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_dkr...c=1&_nkw=157th Regards, Clint |

Re: Photos 157th Aero Squadron
Hi Clint
Sorry, but I don't follow you here. Can you please point me to the large amount of photos from Alex Wilson? I find of course the Salmson but your next link only shows two photos, one non-aviation related and the other to an Avro 504A In spite of the seller's statement there is no indication this Avro was handed over to the Americans. Serial number begins with B433 and although some of the B4330 - 4339 has no known use aircraft is not listed by Casari either. Cheers Stig |

Re: Photos 157th Aero Squadron
Hi Stig,
Well I'm really a bit confused. I just clicked on the link and there are many photos of Entente aircraft. Possibly the number is somewhat smaller (sales perhaps?) but there definitely lots still there. I just clicked on the link. The information states 237 results, many of which are aircraft (?) Regards, Clink |

Re: Photos 157th Aero Squadron
How odd indeed Clint
When I click on the link I get two results "for 157th" and that's it Do you see anything I might be interested in and just link that (those) photo (s)? Cheers Stig PS: I am off on a talk of birds in Antarctica and will not be home until 22.00H or so |

Re: Photos 157th Aero Squadron
Hi Again,
Stig, I have now gone to ebay.com and posted Aero 157th in the search box Again 237 results. So I suggest you try this when you get back from a hopefully enjoyable talk. With regard to your problem, I have tried doing this on the uk version of ebay and get your 2 results. Perhaps you're using a .se version rather than .com at home?. So, hopefully this makes sense. Could I ask if rather than clicking on my link did you copy and past to .se or .co.uk. That might explain the problem. Though I'm guessing of course. Regards, Clint |

Re: Photos 157th Aero Squadron
Thanks Clint for all your efforts.
Really appreciated. I have at least found a partial solution when I changed the "ship to" from Sweden to United Kingdom All of sudden I now get 200 (but not 237 - wonder why?) so I will look through them. Totally bonkers if you ask me.... Cheers Stig |
