E-Stelle Travemünde Monatsberichte – 1942

Long shot query but has anyone here in the course of their research come across any of the Monatsberichte for E-Stelle Travemünde for 1942. The available coverage for 1943 and 1944 is excellent apart from January and March 1943, which I’d also like to find.

Equally, the coverage for 1941 is pretty good but in terms of 1942, I’ve only been able to turn up:

Aug 1942 – E2/3 and E8 only
Oct 1942 – E8 only
Dec 1942 – Complete

If anyone has stumbled across any other scraps, I’d be extremely grateful if they could point me in the right direction.

It's difficult to come up with suggestions, Steve, you being the 5-star ace researcher that you are, but NASM/Smithsonian comes to mind. But at exactly the same time, I'm positively certain that you know the content of their holdings from A to Z. It's strange how so many of the monatliche Berichten could survive, yet certain ones were either lost or cherry picked and kept by some selfish individual.

There's an auftragsübersicht for 1942 RL36/435 dated September 1942.

In many ways we're quite lucky as regards how many of these survived as compared with say E-Stelle Rechlin, however, I do find it a little odd that there is this seeming gap between 1941 and 1943. The odd bits and pieces I've found for 1942 have been on rather random T-2 microfilms so I'm just hopeful someone else has stumbled across a few others. Not everything I've found has made its way back to Freiburg. I recently found the January 1945 Monatsbericht on an ADI(K) microfilm so assume this was destroyed relatively shortly after filming as appears to have happened to a few other documents filmed for this particular project.

I'm away from my files just at the moment but think I might have this. Nonetheless thanks for pointing it out.

Mikael

I've now been able to check my files and I have the Auftragsübersicht for 1/6/42 (T-2 Reel 4107). Happy to do a swap.

Steve
