5-6 June 1944 loss of 76 Squadron Halifax LW638

Dear all,

On the night of the Invasion, 5-6 June 1944, 76 Squadron Halifax LW638 fell foul of Flak and crashed twixt Ver-sur-Mer and Graye-sur-Mer. I am looking for information on the time when the aircraft was shot down, can anybody help?

Theo,

The night 5/6/1944 76 Squadron attacked Mont-Fleury (near Ver-sur-Mer) and the other aircraft of this unit attacked the target , according to the ORB (AIR 27/652), between 04h41 and 04h49.

For losses in France, I advise you to check the following website: http://francecrashes39-45.net/rech_avion.php

It will list local sources when available, and often have more precise crash places than Allied wartime reports.

Even if in thiscase there is no answer to your question.
