NJG 6 during night July 21/22 1944
Hallo,
does somebody know more about NJG 6 operations during night July 21/22 1944? According to Tony Wood´s site, pilots of III./NJG 6 claimed two Wellingtons and 1 DC-3 (?). It seems to be planes shot down during raid on Fanto Refinery in Pardubice, Eastern Bohemia over Bohemia and Moravia. I know about crashes only 2 Wellingtons Vickers Wellington B.Mk.X, JA 521, 231. BW, 37. BS, pilot F/O Francis B. Newmarch, 5 KIA nearby village Stošíkovice na Louce, district Znojmo (Znaim). Plane was recovered in 1990. Vickers Wellington B.Mk.X, LP 204, 330. BW, 150. BS, pilot F/Sgt. Frederick E. Palmer, 5 KIA nearby village Němčičky u Mikulovic, district Znojmo But I know that day 205th RAF Bomber Group lost all in all 6 bombers. So, my questions are: 1) does somebody know what were other RAF Bombers lost during night July 21/22 1944? 2) does somebody know what are sharp destination of following quadrats: 14 Ost N/DM-4, 14 Ost N/OQ-29, 14 Ost N/BM-6 3) does somebody know something about NJG 6 actions during night? Thank you for reply |
